Vodafone’s ‘Economy of Things’ Digital Asset Broker (DAB) has officially announced its strategic partnership with Aventus, a Web3 solution provider. This alliance with the Web3 coin will benefit from Web3’s secure Blockchain technologies. Thus, it will offer businesses and strategic partners enhanced security and efficiency in electronic commerce and data exchange. Here are the details…

Vodafone and Web3 coin partnered

Serving more than 160 million connections worldwide, Vodafone DAB and Aventus will jointly pioneer corporate use cases, starting with the aviation industry’s supply chain. The aviation industry will benefit significantly from this partnership as Vodafone DAB and Aventus aim to increase supply chain security and reliability. The two are creating a solution that includes Blockchain-enabled SIM cards that connect to cargo tracking pods via the DAB platform. This groundbreaking initiative is poised to reduce annual losses of $400 million from misplaced cargo capsules, which account for about 5%-10% of the total.

Aventus has already established relationships at Heathrow Airport, where Blockchain solutions are used to manage and track aircraft unit loading devices. “Through our strategic partnership with Aventus, we can help businesses and third-party providers securely adopt and leverage Web3 services through the Vodafone DAB platform,” said Jorge Bento, Vodafone DAB CEO.

Unlocking the power of blockchain

Aventus offers innovative solutions that integrate the Internet of Things (IoT) with secure enterprise-grade and reliable public blockchains. Its current focus is on building a bridge between Vodafone DAB and Aventus Network and connecting to the wider Blockchain ecosystem through the Polkadot platform. Vodafone DAB’s business customers and strategic partners can securely access and interact with trusted public blockchains through the DAB IoT Identity Passport. Every trusted device connected to Vodafone DAB receives a unique identity passport that enables data and currency trading from different organizations and ecosystems.

Vodafone DAB, which became an independent organization in May of this year, joins the Aventus Network as an authenticator, contributing to network security and decentralization. Both companies believe that interoperability is the key to unlocking the full potential of Blockchain technology. DAB Co-Founder David Palmer said:

We believe that with our Digital Asset Broker (DAB) technology, 160 million connected devices can automatically authenticate to the Blockchain, thereby bringing location and security to the endpoints of the supply chain.
