A large number of new smartphones have been launched in the past year. Some of the most striking of these phones were ‘foldable’ models. These smartphones, which are nostalgic to some of us and reminiscent of old clamshell phones, managed to reach a large number of users.
After Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Flip 3 models, many companies kept up with this new foldable phone trend. While OPPO joined this trend with Find N, Honor launched the Magic V model by keeping up with the developing technology. Today, another technology giant name, Vivo’s first foldable phone, has finally arrived.
Vivo’s first foldable phone may be called Vivo X Fold
It’s been a while since Vivo has been working on a foldable phone model and has taken new steps in this regard. There was talk, but there was nothing tangible other than ‘rumors’ on the subject. It was certain that Vivo’s next model would be a foldable phone, and today, finally, an image of the first foldable phone from Vivo’s Weibo account was shared. As you can see above, we actually do not see the model of the phone clearly. Many users think that the butterfly in this image is actually a reference to the folding style of the phone. This means that the screen can be folded diagonally, in a way we have not seen on foldable phones before. It may have a similar design to the OPPO N Find and Galaxy Z Fold 3, but we don’t have much information other than this sharing.
Although there is no official announcement or launch date by Vivo yet, there are many rumors about the name of the phone. Some of these rumors are that the phone will be called Vivo X Fold and will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Although we do not have much information about its appearance other than this photo, it is said that the screen will be 6.53 inches in most of the news about the phone and it will have a 120 Hz screen refresh rate in QHD + resolution. In addition, as we have seen in many smartphones in the same class, it is claimed that users will also pay attention to battery problems with 80W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 4,600mAh battery support.
As we just mentioned, there are many rumors, including the name to be given to the phone. Especially with this image shared from Vivo’s Weibo account, the rumors gained momentum. This new foldable phone of the company has already managed to attract the attention of many users on social media. We will see in the coming days whether Vivo can compete with similar models of the Galaxy with this phone.
