Vitalik Buterin has transferred nearly $12 million worth of cryptocurrencies to an anonymous whale wallet in the past 20 days. The gratuitous activity immediately caught the attention of the crypto community.
Vitalik Buterin Transferred $12 Billion Between Wallets
According to LookOnChain’s analysis, the whale address that received 9,300 ETH and ended with 0x9e92 in the last 20 days has collected ETH from a wallet thought to belong to Buterin. The address used to send funds ends in “0xd04d” and most likely belongs to Buterin as he only receives funds from Vb3 wallet.
After receiving the funds, the whale has a total of 170,913 ETH worth approximately $260 million. Practically speaking, this makes it one of the largest cryptocurrency holders in the market. The history of the transaction shows no activity that would lead it to be thought that the whale was actually tied to a particular exchange or functioning as an OTC (non-exchange) desk.
