Visa CEO Al Kelly said during the earnings call that Visa users made $2.5 billion in payments with crypto cards in the first quarter of the fiscal year ending December 31.
Kelly noted in a conversation with analysts that the quarterly figure accounts for 70% of Visa’s crypto volume. The company has partnered with more than 65 crypto platforms, notably Coinbase and BlockFi.
The company also added that more than 100 million businesses on the Visa network now accept payments with Visa crypto cards.
Kelly stated that Visa continues to be interested in the crypto sector and emphasized that they continue to improve themselves by evaluating crypto-related proposals.
