We recently shared with you that Microsoft is working on the ability to add stickers to the desktop, which will allow your desktop to be even more personalized to you. Accordingly, it was reported that in the new sticker feature, which is not yet available for Windows Insiders, you can set stickers from the “Sticker Editor” application and these stickers will not suddenly disappear unless you want them otherwise.

But just because the feature isn’t available yet doesn’t mean we won’t be able to find out what it looks like. A new video shared by Twitter user Albacore, who was the first to discover the desktop eject feature of Windows, shows how the feature looks and works.

Your desktop will now be more personalized

In the video where we see that there is an option to add or change desktop stickers in the Settings application, it seems that there are many options for which stickers you can add to the desktop. According to the video, the user can play with the size and position of the sticker he added to the desktop as he wishes. The video also shows that the stickers stay on the Windows 11 desktop even if you change the wallpaper, so the stickers don’t disappear until you manually remove them.

Additionally, most of the stickers appear to be grouped by a particular character; however, the lack of a filtering option and the sticker list appearing to be a bit long may mean that you may have a hard time finding a specific sticker you want. Of course, this could be a feature Microsoft is working on to improve, and the search bar in the stickers section might also make things a little easier.

On the other hand, it is unknown for now whether Microsoft will allow you to install third-party stickers on the desktop, as in many other applications. However, considering that we can install Windows 11 themes from the Microsoft Store, having wallpaper stickers also makes sense. Of course, the fact that there is nothing about it in the video means that we will only see it when the feature is released.
