In a news we shared with you a few months ago, we talked about a fraud attempt in Istanbul. According to the information obtained, two brothers named CK and EK and HA, EK’s girlfriend, promised affordable gold and electronic goods to customers who came to their shops, and collected money from them. The suspects, who kept their promises in the first period, missed the end of the rope as the business grew. The number of those who allegedly lost their money was 39.
As a result of the investigations made by the Istanbul 9th High Criminal Court, a decision was made about 3 people. Deciding that one of the defendants, E.K, committed the crime of qualified fraud, the court decided that the defendant should be sentenced to 60 years in prison. EK will be sentenced to 1 year and 8 months in prison for each person who is subject to fraud.
Brother and lover acquitted
The court decided that only EK should be imprisoned for qualified fraud. Brother CK and girlfriend HA, who were tried in the same case, were acquitted of the case. The lawyers had requested the acquittal of their clients in the previous hearing as well.
In our previous news; We conveyed the information that 39 people were defrauded within the scope of the investigation. The court decided that EK defrauded 36 people. In the indictment, prison sentences ranging from 56 years and three months to 281 years and three months were requested for the suspects.
