The innovative and highly scalable blockchain infrastructure has been made available to developers and users for testing.
Venom, a layer-2 blockchain operating outside the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), has officially launched its public testnet today.
Venom Foundation Grabs Attention With Its Testnet
The Venom Foundation’s public launch of its testnet paves the way for the mainnet to be launched as well.
Along with the testnet launch, Venom also introduced a series of decentralized applications that it created in-house as part of the evolving ecosystem.
The design of Testnet was designed to suit both users and developers in the ecosystem. Testnet will allow developers to test blockchain protocols with decentralized applications. The purpose of this program was to promote innovation and community building within the ecosystem.
Developers and users will be able to try out the testnet in two simple steps. First, they will be able to download Venom Wallet to mobile devices via the App Store or Google Play store. In addition, this wallet can be used on the desktop as a Google Chrome extension. As a second way, users will have access to test the Venom ecosystem by requesting a free testnet allocation.
Peter Knez, Chairman of the Venom Foundation Council, shared his views on the subject and said;
“We are excited to announce the launch of Venom’s public testnet, an important step towards our upcoming mainnet launch. With our highly scalable and reliable asynchronous blockchain, we are confident that developers can create innovative dApps and users can experience them first hand.”
Developers will be able to experiment with building on the Venom blockchain, thanks to the ultra-high speed of 100,000 TPS, scalability, and asynchronous dynamic sharding that increases network reliability.
Venom has created a developer documentation repository to equip developers with the necessary tools and information to start building.
A Set of Decentralized Applications Released on the Testnet
On the Venom testnet, several decentralized apps will be available to users for the first time. Users will be able to test the local Venom wallet by making transactions. They will also have the opportunity to do much more. Here are a few decentralized applications on the testnet;
- Venom Wallet
- Venom Scan
- VenomPools
- Venom Stakes
- Web3.World
- WeUp
- NFT Mint
- Oasis.Gallery
Venom Foundation is licensed by ADGM and enables acceleration of global Web3 projects. The decentralized network operates under ADGM jurisdiction. ADGM is a structure for investors and financial services firms. ADGM positions Venom as the world’s first compatible blockchain, giving authorities and businesses the freedom to build, innovate and scale.
A portfolio of in-house decentralized applications and protocols has been developed by various companies on the Venom blockchain. With dynamic sharding, low fees, ultra-high speed and scalability, Venom has focused on Web3 applications to meet the demands of an ever-expanding user base. Venom has the potential to serve as the main infrastructure for a global ecosystem of Web3 applications with high processing speed and infinite scalability.
