The Vatican is preparing to launch NFT gallery to democratize art. The Vatican has teamed up with Sensorium, a leading metaverse developer, for this gallery. Sensorium said:
“Parties will work on the development of the first VR and NFT gallery to host the Vatican’s art, content and academic initiatives.”
Father Philip Larrey, Chair of Logic and Epistemology at the Pontifical Lateran University in the Vatican, said:
“We have four ways to work with the Sensorium to explore ways to democratize art. We look forward to making it more widely available to people around the world, especially regardless of their socio-economic and geographical limitations… The partnership with Sensorium takes this goal a step further and equips us with cutting-edge technology solutions.”
The gallery, which can be accessed from desktop computers as well as virtual reality glasses, is expected to be ready this year.
