On the weekends of March 17 and March 24, a small portion of Sanctuary was released to players worldwide in Diablo IV early access and open beta. Playtime exceeded 61.5 hours in the process, over 29 billion monsters were killed and 2.6 million Beta Wolf Packs were earned. During the beta weekend, many players took the time to share their valuable feedback and the development team reviewed it along with the gameplay data. In the light of this information, various fixes and updates were made in the version of the game that will be released in June.

UPDATES

  1. Vaults will now always offer a chest reward upon completion. Also increased the chance of a dungeon event spawning.
  2. Adjusted various abilities of all character classes.
  3. Improvements have been made to minimize the need to return from past sections in many dungeons to cover entire regions. Dungeon events also have a higher chance of spawning.
  4. Bosses like T’chort, Malnok, and Vhenard have been reassessed for melee characters’ difficulty. As a result, changes were made to the attack and combat mechanics. Butcher’s difficulty level has also been reworked. It will now offer a more challenging challenge in World Tiers III and IV.
  5. Various experience improvement fixes have been made. All classes now have access to crowd control breaking abilities with appropriate cooldowns.
  6. Fixed various UI related issues, including chat now displaying on the left side of the screen and replacing the sans serif font with a new serif font.
