The works of Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh have been turned into NFT by a foundation set up for the painter.
The Vincent van Gogh Sites Foundation (VGSF), promoting the work of the Dutch painter, made a new collaboration the other day. The foundation has partnered with Hong Kong-based Web3 project Appreciator. As a result of this partnership, the first NFT collection to commemorate the famous painter was launched.
Van Gogh NFT Collection On Sale
The VGSF Foundation has unveiled six multimedia artworks addressed to renowned painter Vincent van Gogh. Each is output as a 3D animation of a painting by the artist. The artifacts protected by the Foundation were turned into an NFT collection of 84 copies as a result of digital scanning.
The released NFT collection was encapsulated with a glass screen motif and offered for sale. VGSF director Frank van den Eijnden aims to disseminate the works of the famous artist globally. Plans include turning 39 different artworks into NFTs.
Foundation director Eijnden made the following statements;
Those who buy the Van Gogh NFT collection will also receive various prints and certificates. It was also stated that some of the artifacts will be sold with physical memorabilia, including a handmade wooden box containing a silver-plated copy of the leaf.
