German automotive giant Porsche has released a special video for February 14 Valentine’s Day. The published video was about the company’s favorite V8 engines. The impressive video shows the V8-powered vehicles launched under the Porsche brand one by one. The video, titled “Love Letter to Porsche V8”, seems to impress V8 engine enthusiasts.
The video prepared by Porsche begins with the Porsche 928, which we had the chance to meet for the first time in 1977. This model was the company’s first car with a V8 engine and has always had a special place for Porsche. In the continuation of the video, we see vehicles such as Panamera GTS with V8 engine, Cayenne Turbo and Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid.
Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT went down in history by dusting the Nurburgring
V8 engines have been very important to Porsche over the years. In fact, the company made history with the V8 engine in the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT. Taking the Nurburgring, one of the world’s most famous race tracks, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT completed the track in 7:38.9, becoming the fastest SUV model in history. Let’s not go without mentioning that in the video called Love Letter to Porsche V8, a separate bracket has been opened for this SUV.
Porsche does not seem to give up on the V8 so easily. Because the company has been working on a race car called LMDh, which works with a V8 engine for a while. The hybrid engine powered LMDh, which is still in the prototype stage, is expected to be included in official races in 2023. Porsche will limit this vehicle to 670.5 horsepower by law. We will see together what the vehicle can offer in the coming periods.
