If you’re using Google Chrome on Android, you’ll now be able to better hide your Incognito Mode tabs from prying eyes. Because these tabs are now protected with biometric lock options.
Android phone users will be able to protect their Incognito Mode tabs with a fingerprint after the new update. Once turned on, the feature requires you to pass a biometric verification step to see the pages, if you want to return to any open Incognito tab after you take a break from browsing.
Google Chrome users using iPhones have been using these biometric locks for almost a year. So, interestingly, they’ve been using this feature for a lot longer than devices running Google’s own operating system.
To turn on the feature, you need to go to the Privacy and Security settings of the Chrome browser. You can find these settings by pressing the three-dot icon in the upper-right corner of the screen, selecting Settings from the drop-down menu, and then selecting Privacy and Security.
