US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen made statements about cryptocurrencies in a program she attended on CNBC. Yellen stated that cryptocurrencies have become a rapidly growing sector and that she has question marks in this regard.
Yellen said:
“My concerns with cryptocurrencies are issues such as financial stability, investor protection and illegal use. I have questions about these issues. But there are also benefits from crypto. Especially on payment systems and innovations.”
