US Treasury Secretary Yellen talked about the inclusion of Bitcoin in retirement plans. Yellen warned citizens not to do so, calling it a “very risky investment”. Yellen said:
“It’s not something I would recommend to most people saving for retirement. It is a very risky investment in my opinion.”
As it is known, Fidelity, one of the leading investment management companies, announced a service in the past weeks where employees can add Bitcoin to their retirement plans if their employers allow. The service also caused reactions from the US Department of Labor, and the institution claimed that the cryptocurrency space was not that mature yet.
