The US Space Force major suggested Bitcoin mining for the Pentagon defense strategy.
While the pressure on the crypto money industry in the USA was increasing day by day, a different suggestion came from the US Space Force major. Regulatory uncertainties in the sector still remain.
Pentagon Might Turn to Bitcoin Mining as Defense Strategy
As the popularity and adoption of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) continues to grow, some focus on the economic side of the industry alongside the technological benefit.
However, it is unclear under which roof cryptocurrencies will be evaluated in the USA.
Major Jason Lowery, who served in the US Space Force, suggested that the USA should mine and stock Bitcoin in his master’s thesis of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which is at the top of Amazon’s best-selling technology books list.
Specifically, “Softwar: A Novel Theory on Power Projection and the National Strategic Signigence of Bitcoin” compared Bitcoin’s proof-of-work (PoW) system with deer antlers. He wrote in his book that he thinks this situation offers a better alternative to the destructive nuclear system for future power struggles.
