US MP Tom Emmer thinks that the introduction of CBDCs in the country will wipe out all US value.
The growing reputation of cryptocurrencies has led countries to focus on this sector as well. Many countries have taken action to explore the use cases and conveniences of digital currencies. The central bank digital currency (CBDC), which emerged in this context, started to be presented as a new generation currency. However, grunts from the US continue to rise. US Congressman Tom Emmer sees CBDCs as a threat to his country.
US MP Takes an Anti-CBDC Stance
US Congressman Tom Emmer has argued that if the central bank digital currency (CBDC) is introduced, US citizens will lose their financial privacy.
Speaking at an event he attended the other day, Emmer made remarkable statements about CBDCs. Arguing that CBDCs should not be used in the USA, Emmer claimed that such programmable currencies could be used for espionage and political activities.
Drawing attention to the economic structure and strong stance of the USA, Emmer claimed that digital currencies, called new technology, will disrupt this order. The MP is also working hard to end the work on the digital dollar.
