A feature that came to the preview version of Microsoft’s latest operating system Windows 11 in the past months and that users do not like very much is being removed. Microsoft has been showing recommended websites in Windows 11’s Start menu for a while.

This feature, which is in the testing phase, was not liked by Windows 11 users. The feature, which appeared in the preview version 25247 in November 2022 and shows the websites at the bottom of the menu panel, does not seem to please the users very much. As a result of the feedback from Microsoft’s Windows 11 Insider system, some features were removed and some were updated in the 25272 preview version.

Website previews in the start menu aren’t the only thing removed in Windows 11.

Describing the changes in the latest update of Windows 11, Microsoft also announced that it has removed the suggestion to search for a copied text in the Edge browser. This feature allowed you to search for text you clicked in Edge in a pop-up panel.

A statement came from Microsoft about the changes made.

Microsoft said about the update: “Thanks to all Insiders who gave us feedback on these two experiences.”

With preview release 25272, some bugs have been fixed, notably an issue with visual glitches in the taskbar’s search box.
