Universal Music Group, the record label behind stars such as Taylor Swift and Drake, has acquired Bored Ape #5537, one of the non-exchangeable tokens of the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection.
The company also teamed up with Bored Ape Yacht Club in November to launch a virtual NFT group called “Kingship”.
Universal Music Group has partnered with music and entertainment magazine Billboard to create an NFT collection.
The global music company has also joined forces with NFT platform Curio to create digital collections for artists.
The Bored Ape Yacht Club collection became even more popular following the launch of ApeCoin.
ApeCoin suffered a massive drop after surging as high as $39.40 at the time of its initial launch. APE, which fell to the level of $ 6 in the first place, is trading at $ 14.42 at the time of writing.
