The world’s most popular messaging application, WhatsApp, is trying to improve the user experience with its new features. It was recently revealed that the giant platform is working on a ‘message editing’ feature. It was reported that this feature, seen with screenshots, is under development.
In addition, as we all know, the messaging application has a feature to delete messages. This feature allows you to delete messages within a certain period of time with the ‘Delete for Everyone’ or ‘Delete for Me’ options. Now, the news has revealed that the company may introduce a feature for accidental transactions on the platform.
‘Undo’ button is coming
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a button that allows you to undo an action. It is possible to say that this feature can be very useful. For example, if you delete a message by mistake, you will be able to undo this action thanks to this button.
Shared screenshots also revealed tips on how the feature will look and be used in the app. In the image shared by WABetaInfo, after deleting the messages, a notification with the words ‘Message Deleted’ appears at the bottom of the screen. On the side of this notification, we see the ‘Undo’ button that will allow you to undo the action. We can say that this is similar to the undo feature in Gmail.
It can be said that the feature can be used in both group messages and individual messages. However, it is unknown whether the undo button will work on messages deleted with the ‘Delete for Everyone’ feature. The screenshot shows the new feature being used in a deleted message along with ‘Delete from Me’. In addition, this feature is still under development; it should be added that it is not known when it will be available to everyone.
