Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation is preparing to launch the MetaHistory NFT Museum, a blockchain-based chronology of the Russian occupation.

The museum will display NFTs paired with written reflections. According to the representative of the project, the first drop could happen on Tuesday.

MetaHistory’s Danil Melnyk said that the most important feature of data storage in blockchain is that it has an immutable structure. Publishing artworks in NFT format will help preserve it, while also raising funds for Ukraine.

Melny stated that artists who want their works to be included in the museum will submit a portfolio with their works, and then the art directors will conduct a review to determine whether the work is suitable for the museum. If approved, the submitted works will be printed as NFT on the Ethereum blockchain.

Each NFT will be sold for 0.15 ETH and all profits from the first sale will go to the Ministry of Digital Transformation’s wallet. Melnyk said the funds will be distributed for humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.

Ukraine has now received over $100M in crypto donations.
