Twitter character limit increased to 4000
Twitter announced a while ago that the character limit has been increased to 4000. This feature is currently only available to Blue subscribers in the USA. In the future, the character limit will come to other countries, but you need to be a Blue subscriber to use it.
Also, to see long tweets, you will have to click on the “Show more” button. However, the feature is currently available on Twitter Web and is not yet available on mobile. In addition, for now, it is not possible to schedule or save the long tweet you will send. Twitter says it’s working on these issues.
Except for these restrictions, all other features (tags, images, etc.) can be used in tweets with 4000 characters. Normal Twitter users will be able to interact with these tweets as usual. Blue subscribers will still be able to quote and reply to these tweets as long tweets.
Elon Musk has been talking about longer tweets for a while. Twitter also wants to add format changes, such as the use of bold letters and font size, to the platform. Twitter’s current 280-character limit came into our lives in 2017, and before that the character limit was 140.
