BTK lifts Twitter’s advertising ban

According to the news of Sputnik, BTK’s Twitter Inc. The President’s Decision Regarding the Removal of the Decision to Ban the Advertisement of the Social Network Provider (Periscope/Scope) was published in the Official Gazette.

The ban decision taken on January 15, 2021 is no longer valid. As a result of the company’s fulfillment of its obligation to determine and notify representatives of the Law No. 5651 on the Regulation of Broadcasts Made on the Internet and Combating Crimes Committed Through These Broadcasts, the platform left this ban behind.

The reason for the advertising ban implemented at the beginning of January was the obligation to have a representative for social network providers whose daily access reaches 1 million in our country. Platforms that do not agree to have representatives faced fines in the first place. After that, advertising bans were introduced.
