Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has been on the agenda recently. Lastly, Musk, who made a name for himself with his attempt to buy Twitter, then gave up on this decision and managed to be talked about once again. After this much talked about decision of Elon Musk, many people are expressing their reactions against the Tesla CEO, and Twitter seems to have preferred to act cautiously in this regard.
Twitter employees warned not to tweet about Elon Musk
As it is known, Elon Musk recently gave up taking over Twitter. Twitter, on the other hand, sent a letter to its employees on this development, telling them not to talk about the issue. In a letter sent by the company’s general counsel Sean Edgett on Friday, employees were asked to refrain from commenting on the deal on Twitter or elsewhere.
The memo sent to Twitter employees allegedly included the following statements:
We will continue to share as much information as possible, but please note that what we can share in the meantime will be very limited. I don’t know how long this situation will last, but we appreciate your patience and continued commitment to the important work we continue to do.
Twitter’s board of directors announced that it will take legal action to implement Musk’s $44 billion bid. Accordingly, it may not be easy for Elon Musk to give up on this agreement. This situation between Twitter and Elon Musk seems to be resolved in court.
As far as we understand, the popular social media platform does not want to get into trouble with any sharing from its employees in this process. It is expected that Elon Musk will pay a hefty compensation with his abandonment of the agreement. The amount claimed for compensation is 1 billion dollars.
By the way, since the cancellation of the agreement, Elon Musk has not shared anything on Twitter. Musk’s last post was about the latest product developments at Tesla. It has not been 48 hours since this sharing, but for the CEO, who uses Twitter quite often, this time is quite long.
It seems that we will continue to talk about the events between Twitter and Elon Musk in the coming days. So what do you think about what happened between Elon Musk and Twitter? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
