Twitter has announced that they have begun testing a new cropping tool for Chat Rooms. A tweet shared by Twitter Spaces announced that the feature is available for select hosts on iOS.

Some of the chats can be clipped and shared to the stream

The cropping feature, which has started to be tested in the Twitter app for iOS, will allow hosts to receive 30-second clips of recorded chats. Hosts will be able to share these clips in their streams. These shared clips will be able to be seen and listened to by all iOS users.

Company , has currently limited the feature to hosts only to prevent abuse that could occur by allowing listeners to share only a portion of the conversation. Twitter has announced that the ability to retrieve clips from chats is coming to the web and Android very soon.
