Twitter Reacts to Elon Musk
Last week, Elon Musk announced that he was withdrawing from an attempt to buy Twitter, voicing concerns that there are bots and spam accounts on the platform. Musk had sent a letter to Twitter that he was terminating the deal. Then, Twitter’s chairman of the board, Bret Taylor, stated that the board of directors plans to sue Elon Musk.

In addition, Musk stated in his statement to the SEC that “Twitter did not fulfill its contractual obligations” and stated that Twitter violated many provisions of the agreement.
After all these developments, Twitter filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk in the US state of Delaware and hired Watchell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz LLP in preparation for the lawsuit.
Twitter stressed that Elon Musk “harmed the company by making it a subject of public ridicule”. In the 62-page lawsuit, Twitter detailed Musk’s ongoing relationship with the company.
