Stating that the Diem project was a waste of time, Dorsey criticized the company for not using an open protocol. Twitter, which came to the fore with NFT avatar support, came up with a different feature this time.
Twitter Articles feature will be available to users soon
Revealing innovations in applications by reverse engineering, Jane Wong shared the feature that Twitter prepared for long texts. The screenshot shared by Wong includes the text “Create a Twitter Article”.
Threads feature has been activated, which allows sequential Tweets written in 2020 to appear regularly. Although the Threads feature is suitable for long articles, it was criticized by many due to its 280 character limit. Considering users’ complaints, the company finally started working on the new feature.
A Twitter spokesperson revealed that the company will be sharing more details on Twitter Articles soon. Analysts noted that the company needed such a feature to rival platforms like Medium and WordPress.
It is estimated that Twitter will enable users to generate income with long posts. The Super Follow feature, which was offered to users last year, may include the option to read long articles for a fee.
