Twitter-approved companies are coming
Elon Musk, who plans to earn as much income as possible from his Twitter Blue subscription, increased the prices by adding the blue badge approval. When everyone started to get badges, a different approval process started for official organizations. Now a new program is starting for companies as well.
The subscription program, previously announced as Blue for Business, has been changed to Verification for Organizations. In the program where preliminary requests are received, companies and brands will also have a special badge. That way, they’ll be more visible. It also provides the opportunity to link the associated individual, business and brand to its main account. When this is done, a small badge with the profile picture of their parent company will appear next to the blue or gold checkmark of the linked accounts. Another advantage is that square profile pictures can be included.
Twitter has yet to say how much the company approval program will cost, but it’s expected to be more than individual Blue subscriptions. Thus, the approved account program will become an important source of income for the company.
