The popular social media platform Twitter makes it easier to share tweets. The company announced that it has added a new button for WhatsApp. Thanks to the “Share on WhatsApp” feature, it will be possible to send tweets to the messaging platform with one click.

Twitter is preparing to add a new WhatsApp-focused button to the platform. Currently, there are options to comment, retweet, like and share under tweets. But thanks to the new button, the opportunity to share the tweet directly on WhatsApp will be offered.

The share on WhatsApp feature, which was initially only available to users in India, will make it easier to send tweets to individuals or groups. Considering that tweets are mostly sent to WhatsApp, excluding Twitter DM, this feature seems to be useful.
The photo shared from the Twitter India account revealed how the new design looks. Although we can see the WhatsApp logo in the photo, the share tweet button has disappeared. This raises questions about how to share the tweet with the other platform or DM.
Some users who tested the feature said that after tapping the WhatsApp logo, they saw the option to share to WhatsApp or a different platform. In other words, a two-step process (share button on WhatsApp > WhatsApp) is needed again to send tweets to the messaging application.
Considering that Twitter has over 400 million users in India, it’s not surprising that the new feature is only being shared in this country. However, we think it will be made available globally in the near future.
