Twitter announced that it has withdrawn a feature it launched last week. The social media platform recently introduced a tabbed view with the Home Page feed, which shows tweets based on the algorithm, and “Latest Tweets” in reverse chronological order, but user feedback prompted the company to quickly abandon this decision.
‘We heard you’
Twitter started offering a new tabbed interface to iOS users on March 10. Before the feature is widely available to all users, the platform has announced that it has removed this feature for now, due to negative user feedback.
In a post on the Twitter Support page, he said ‘we heard you’ and shared that users mostly wanted a chronological Home Page view, so they removed the new tabbed experience for now.

Twitter isn’t the first company to try to introduce algorithm-based homepage views. Instagram also went to a similar application and offered users new options on their home page views, but Twitter users want to see the latest posts from the accounts they follow on their homepages, as they see the platform as a place to get information.
