Apple recently introduced the iPhone 13 family and iOS 15 version. Although this makes users who want to upgrade to new versions happy, it means bad news for users with phones that have lost update support.
App developers are cutting support for older iOS and Android versions one by one. Unfortunately, this means the end of the road for some smartphone models. Finally, a blow to the phones that lost their update support came from Twitter.
iPhone 6 users will no longer be able to use Twitter
Apple stopped production and sales of the iPhone 6 years ago. However, thanks to the update support it offers, many people continued to use this legendary model for many years. Unfortunately, that era is now over. As of yesterday, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users have lost access to the Twitter app.
Although some users regionally manage to view Tweets from time to time, unfortunately it is no longer possible to have a full user experience. In fact, Twitter had stopped updating its app for older iOS versions a long time ago. However, users could still access it.
If for some reason you have an up-to-date device running old iOS versions and you do not intentionally update your phone, you need to switch to iOS 15 immediately. Otherwise, you will lose access to Twitter and many other applications in the future.
