Twitter Communities feature came to iOS and web browsers last year. Now, the popular social media platform has brought the option to the Android front. In the latest version of the Android version of the app, you can find groups related to your interests and chat with like-minded people.

This space features diverse communities including plants, space, skincare, design, fashion, Xbox and R&B. If you want to be a part of this conversation, there is even an area where you can share your points in the word game called Wordle. It is not easy for users to set up their own communities. They can still suggest new communities they want to create or control.

Twitter clarifies its new plans

Twitter has announced some of its new plans for the Communities feature in 2022. First, it’s developing a third type of membership where they can request to join, as well as invite-only and public opt-in methods. Admins and moderators can allow or deny the request.

In addition, there is a sequential timeline. So a chronological chart will still be available. Q&A and moderators’ options to highlight a community’s best content were also announced by the social media platform.

What is the Twitter Communities feature?

Twitter stated that the feature is now available to Android users. Launched on iOS and the web in September 2021, the option allows users to tweet about a specific topic within the group. The capability is pretty similar to Facebook Groups. At this point it continues to be more public and spread.
