Twitter has announced that it will continue testing a dislike-like downvote button with more users, which it started testing with certain iOS users last July, which allows replies to a shared tweet to be downvoted.
Widely available
Twitter is testing a button that would allow users to downvote a response if they think it’s irrelevant to the tweet or disagree with stated statements. Finally, the social media platform stated that it will expand the scope of this test with positive feedback from users.
For now, many web and after a while Android and iOS users will be able to test this button. Downvotes on an answer can only be viewed by the user who posted the answer. Other users, including the user who shared the original tweet, cannot see these votes.
We see that a feature that has been tested in general is not very widely available, but Twitter’s widening of its testing scope and stating that it has received positive feedback from users increases the possibility of seeing the minus vote button built into the platform.
