With the acquisition of Twitter, one of the biggest elements that Elon Musk fought was the fake accounts and bots on Twitter. The new CEO of Twitter, which is very close to completely banishing bots, was also aiming to reduce the presence of fake accounts with Twitter Blue.
With this system, which is paid $ 8 per month, you could become a directly approved account. However, people misused it as if it was the account of real celebrities, and incidents such as fake LeBron James accounts emerged.
The new Twitter Blue, which will be re-released on December 12, will be more attentive to this.
Twitter Blue, which was canceled and revised due to the events mentioned above, will be offered to the user with more features at the same price. Twitter Blue members will be subject to an account review after making a purchase and will be given a blue tick accordingly.
If Twitter Blue is a member brand, the old gray tick will appear in gold. If the member is a government agency or authority, it will still have a gray tick and will describe the account holder’s title (For example, Official, Brand).
Other features that will come are as follows:
- Twitter Blue members’ posts will be prioritized,
- Those who have a membership will be able to share longer and 1080p videos,
- will see 50% less ads compared to normal users,
- You can edit your posts,
- They will be able to experience the features that will be officially integrated into Twitter beforehand.
If users with blue ticks change their name or photo, their blue tick will be removed until their account is reviewed again. In addition, iOS users will pay 11 dollars, not 8, due to Apple’s 30% share cut. What do you think about the changes? Please do not forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments.
