Twitter is officially bringing podcasts to the platform. The social media giant announced today that they have started testing the podcast feature as of now. According to the reactions, Twitter may open this feature to general use.
Twitter turns into podcast app
Twitter and the podcast format actually seem like a pair that can get along well. Research by Twitter also reveals that 45 percent of those who use social media are already listening to podcasts. Twitter has decided to integrate the new podcast feature into the Spaces tab instead of a separate tab. Spaces has been redesigned so you can access both audio live streams and podcasts.
With the renewed design, audio contents can be personalized by grouping them according to news, music, sports and more categories. Listeners can choose the topics most relevant to them and explore live or recorded audio content. It is aimed to shape the suggestions here and to make user-specific suggestions according to the users’ listening habits or reactions such as liking/disliking.
Twitter lied about bot accounts and security
Twitter is currently testing the podcast feature on random users and only in English. Twitter states that it will make improvements on the podcast feature along with the feedback. However, no date has been shared for general use.
