Twitter has launched its new feature that will enable us to understand bot accounts created for good purposes worldwide. The new tag system, which came into our lives with the beta process in September, was initially activated on 500 accounts. Users who clearly state that they are bot accounts will now be able to display this information on their Twitter profiles.
The word “bot” has a negative connotation as it is often associated with malicious accounts known as trolls. However, Twitter stated that there are also useful bots created to share useful information (such as earthquake warnings, news tracking, Kovid data). The new feature will allow good and bad bots to be separated.
Twitter will state that the account is a bot
The Twitter profile of the bot account will include a small robot icon and the information “Automated”. The social media platform will also indicate who is the original owner of the bot in question. In addition, the phrase “Automated” will appear publicly on both old tweets and new tweets of the bot.

Twitter spokesperson made a statement about the new system, which has started to be used in all small or large bot accounts as of today. The spokesperson said, “All accounts on Twitter are subject to our rules. As the label is only optional, we will not currently moderate accounts that choose to use the label. If an account violates the rules, the standard reporting process will follow.” said.
