The social media platform Twitter does not fall off the agenda with both the lawsuit with Elon Musk and the innovations it brings to the platform. The platform, which has often become the focus of criticism due to bot accounts, has recently turned out to be working on a feature that makes it easier to distinguish bots.
Twitter, which wants the application to become more functional, continues to make various arrangements. Sharing images about the tweet editing feature that it has been working on for a while, Twitter has now offered the Twitter Circle feature, which it has been offering to a certain segment for a few months, to all users globally. So what is this Twitter Circle? What does it do? Let’s take a closer look.
150 users can be included in the Twitter Circle
Twitter Circle was only available to certain users for about 3 months. This feature, which is in the testing phase, will have received good feedback from users, as it is available to everyone with a Twitter account as of today. With this feature, users will be able to send private Tweets to certain people by selecting them. A user can only create one Twitter Circle for now and can add up to 150 users there. Only the owner of the Circle can see the people added to the list.
In a statement, Twitter defines Twitter Circle as a way to Tweet to selected individuals and share their thoughts with a smaller group. Users can choose who will be in their Twitter Circle, and only the people they add can see, reply to and interact with the Tweets. However, it is not possible to retweet or quote.
In this feature, which has been actively used in our country, if you do not want to be in someone else’s Twitter Circle, it is necessary to unfollow, block or mute that person. Thanks to this feature, which is similar to the “Close Friends” feature on Instagram for a long time, it is expected to interact easily with certain followers on Twitter.
