Popular broadcasting platform Twitch under the umbrella of Amazon has been on the agenda with hack attacks and leaked information in the past days. With nearly 140 million monthly active users and more than 9 million content producers, the company, which broadcasts 24/7 live, has become a frequent destination for hackers due to security vulnerabilities.

It is thought that another attack was made on Twitch as of this morning. Although it is not yet known whether it has a connection with the previous attack, the hackers managed to make changes to the platform for a few hours. After this attack, there is no information about whether there is a data leak yet. However, in the previous attack, some sensitive information was obtained, such as the source code of the company’s streaming service and payments to publishers.

Could Twitch have stopped the attacks?

Former employees of the company stated that due to the security vulnerabilities of the platform, they had similar problems before, but Twitch preferred not to disclose them. In a statement to The Verge, he said that despite warning the company’s senior officials about existing system vulnerabilities and errors, management did not care about the situation.

The attack, which took place in the morning today, was quieter. The attack, noticed by Reddit users, became the agenda on social media. Background images of GTA V, Dota 2, Smite, Minecraft, Apex Legends and many more game pages have been replaced by a photo of Jeff Bezos, Amazon’s founder and CEO until last July, by hackers.

Twitch said that it takes into account the feedback from users!

In the past weeks, a protest called DoBetterTwitch has started on Twitter. Users who did not like the service they received on the live broadcast platform announced their voices in this way. Then, Twitch said in a statement that the complaints were taken into account and that the relevant studies were continuing.

Due to this attack, which took place almost 2 months after the company’s statement, all users, especially publishers, were affected. Then today, as a result of this silent attack by hackers, users started tweeting on social media that their trust in Twitch was shaken and that they would cancel their membership.
