Attracting attention with his drawings, 27-year-old Yaşar Vurdem has broken a new ground. It would not be wrong to say that Vurdem, who is the first Turkish designer to receive an offer for the use of his drawing from the world-famous Adobe company, has come to a very good place in his digital drawing life, which he has been doing for 5 years.

Vurdem, who took part in the design of the album covers of celebrities such as Cem Adrian and Melek Mosso, attracted attention with the illustration drawing of the famous singer Billie Eillish. Interviewing with Adobe, Vurdem gave the copyright of the drawing to the company. After that, Vurdem’s drawing of Billie Eillish began to be exhibited on billboards in the United States (USA).

“I am the only person from Turkey who participated in the campaign and was selected”

Explaining Adobe’s journey to reach himself, Vurdem stated that he was the only person from our country who participated in the campaign. In addition to this, the artist’s explanations about how he started his drawing life are as follows:

“My aunt encouraged me to draw from an early age. He also did oil painting works. Then I started doing it when I was 7-8 years old. This digital drawing thing started when I went to university. I saw that the drawing was also done digitally, these works, book covers, game illustrations. My adventure started from there. 2021 has been a very strange year for me. Because I made the album covers of both Cem Adrian and Melek Mosso. It was very surprising to me that such an event occurred. ”

Advice for those who want to advance in design:

Vurdem said that his success did not come overnight and he was constantly working the same things over and over. Saying that he has been doing this for years, the artist also recommended the same thing to those who want to advance in design.

“My advice to those who will do this job is to constantly study and practice. Because I have worked for many years. I’ve been working on the same things all the time, working on portraits, and I’ve had such a success. In my future goals, to announce my name worldwide in the field of illustration. I want to represent Turkey in the world. I’m trying to make money from ad campaigns, drawing orders, training videos and I have a profit”
