Turkcell has added a new one to its international mobile communication services. Aiming to bring cutting-edge technologies to its users for the first time, Turkcell has started to provide VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) roaming experience to its customers roaming abroad from the mobile operator AT&T’s network in the USA.

Emphasizing that as Turkcell, they always closely follow and implement trending technologies in the field of mobile communication, Turkcell Deputy General Manager for Network Technologies Gediz Sezgin said, said:

Stating that Turkcell customers can now receive high quality voice service over 4.5G network thanks to the VoLTE roaming service made in cooperation with AT&T, Gediz Sezgin said, “Operators that shut down 2G and 3G networks due to technology transformations continue to increase in the world. We continue to make VoLTE roaming collaborations with operators in different countries so that our customers, who only receive service from the 4.5G network abroad, can provide uninterrupted and higher quality calls. No activation is required for VoLTE roaming service

No extra activation is required for Turkcell customers to benefit from VoLTE roaming service in the USA. Turkcell customers, who are open to calling/calling and data-internet use abroad, have HD voice subscription, whose device supports VOLTE roaming and can receive service from the contracted operator AT&T, can directly benefit from this service.
