READING NOW TSMC works on 1.4 nanometer processors!

TMSC, the world’s largest processor manufacturer, announced that it is working on 1.4 nanometer processor technology. TMSC, which is also working on 2 nanometer processors, gave dates for both technologies. Here is the mass production history of 1.4 nm chips.

Mass production of 1.4 nm chips will start in 2027!

The date is clear for the 2 nanometer processors that we have recently seen under the name N2, which Apple will also use. The 2 nm technology, which will appear with the iPhone 17 Pro in 2025, will probably be used in Apple’s A19 mobile processor. So when will 1.4 nanometer processor technology come into our lives?

TMSC’s 1.4 nanometer production node is called A14. TMSC, which will appear with the N2 node between 2025 and 2027, will put the A14 node, which is being developed in this process, into mass production in 2027. TMSC, which will use 1.4 nanometer technology in 2027 and 2028, will probably use second or third generation GAAFET transistors in the A14 node.

This is all the information given for 1.4 nanometer processor technology for now. Apple, which will switch to 2 nm technology in 2025, will also be using 1.4 nanometer processors in 2027. In other words, we may encounter 1.4 nm processors in iPhone 19 Pro models.

Let’s see what TMSC will announce about the new chip technology in the future. What do you think will change the 1.4 nm technology that will enter our lives in 2027? You can express your opinions in the comments.
