Deliveries of Apple’s new chips will begin in the first half of June, one of which will be the flagship Apple A16 Bionic, which will be used in some models of the upcoming iPhone 14 series smartphones. Earlier, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had said that only the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be based on the new 4nm A16 Bionic chipset, while other smartphones in the series will remain on the A15 Bionic platform.

TSMC, Apple’s flagship supplier

TSMC will “significantly” increase shipments of M-series chips as Apple completes its transition to Apple Silicon and Intel will soon phase out processors entirely. As no other company will be able to offer similar chips, TSMC is expected to remain Apple’s sole chip supplier for the foreseeable future.

Also, Apple has already placed orders for 2nm chips, which TSMC should complete by 2025. In addition, the companies are jointly developing 1nm chips for use in augmented reality devices and electric cars.
