In the published report, it is stated that TSMC can produce between 30,000 and 35,000 silicon wafers using 3nm technology. Wccftech claims that Apple will first use the 3nm processor in iPad models.

Apple M3 and A17 processors are expected to be introduced in 2023. Developed for iPhone, iPad and Macs, processors will be able to offer better battery life thanks to production technology.

It is among the rumors that there will be four dies that will allow 40-core structure in 3nm processors. It is worth remembering that the Apple M1 processor has 8 cores, while the M1 Pro and M1 Max processors are 10 cores.

Earlier this year, it was claimed that TSMC had problems with chip production. Although no official statement has been made yet, it is estimated that the company overcame the problems and started R&D studies.

TSMC is among the companies hardest hit by the semiconductor shortage as it is able to provide a stable supply of chips to other companies in the semiconductor industry. Analysts state that if TSMC has problems with the 3nm process, companies such as AMD and Nvidia will continue on their way with 5nm technology.
