Tsinghua University of China, Established Metaverse Laboratory
Tsinghua University, one of the top two universities in China, to support the research and development of the metaverse field in the country announced the establishment of the first metaverse culture laboratory.
China’s prestigious research university, Tsinghua University, set up the metaverse culture laboratory on Friday.
The new laboratory will be used for research in media technology, metaverse culture, creativity and other metaverse areas.
The new lab was established in partnership with Tsinghua’s School of Journalism and Communications and Chinese Online (COL), a Chinese digital publishing company.
Tsinghua University, which launched the first Metaverse Robot System last year, continues to lead research in this area.
Chinese technology companies and local governments have also started to adopt the metaverse.
