Trust Wallet discovered and resolved a major WebAssembly (WASM) vulnerability that affected wallet addresses generated via the browser extension between November 14-23, 2022. The team explained that this vulnerability caused several users to lose approximately $170k.

The discovered vulnerability existed in the core software library that uses the WASM format when users generate wallet addresses via the browser extension. “Most of the funds at risk are secured,” the Trust Wallet project said on Twitter, with the statement “Fixed the issue.”
