Twitter and Trump war seems to be still going on. Of course, Facebook is also added to this. As you know, Trump had a big fight with Twitter during the US presidential election and his account was blocked. Twitter even violated the ‘Twitter Rules about glorifying violence’ for a tweet by Trump about George Floyd. However, Twitter has determined that it may be in the public interest to keep the tweet available.
Trump, who was almost ‘fired’ from social media, even tried to set up his own social media platform. Now it looks like he’s back to attacking Twitter and Facebook. In the past months, a famous anti-vaccine named Marjorie Taylor Greene had her account blocked for spreading false information about the COVID-19 virus. Trump addressed this in his press release, asking his supporters to stop using Twitter and Facebook.
‘Twitter and Facebook should not have such a say’
Former US President Donald Trump’s press release, in which he almost spewed hate on Twitter and Facebook, contains exactly the following words:
Twitter is a disgrace against democracy. It should not be mentioned in this country. Marjorie Taylor Greene has a large constituency of honest, patriotic and hardworking people. They don’t deserve the same treatment as punks on Twitter and Facebook. Everyone should quit Twitter and Facebook. They are so boring and just hold the Radical Left view, they are hated by everyone. These platforms are disrespecting our nation. Keep fighting Marjorie!
It seems that Trump, whose first social media platform he founded was shut down and working for a new one, will not let go of the social media giants easily. What do you think of Trump’s press release? Please do not forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
