According to Netflix, Genesis will focus on one of the most fundamental problems of humankind, “death and afterlife”. Platform explains the subject of the production, which will take the audience to a story stretching from Bursa to Istanbul in the early 1900s:
“The greatest wish of Ziya, an adventurous, rebellious, excited and mentally unfit young medical student, is to become a very good physician and cure many epidemics that medicine cannot find a cure for. The physician İhsan, who was standing between madness and genius, whom he met in Istanbul, was the only person in this world who could understand him. These two eccentric and wounded souls who find each other will pay a heavy price for their secret and forbidden experiment together. Because an ancient script, which they are trying to decode, brings them to the door of disaster and leaves them.”
Erkan Kolçak Köstendil and Taner Ölmez play the lead roles in Yaratanlar, written and directed by Irmak. In addition to this duo, Engin Benli, Şifanur Gül, Bülent Şakrak, Sema Çeyrekbaşı, Devrim Yakut, Şehsuvar Aktaş, Durul Bazan, Macit Koper, Ekremcan Arslandağ, Ümmü Putgül and Şennur Nogaylar are also in the squad.
The created series will meet with those who are waiting on Netflix on October 20.
