The trailer for Doctor Who’s new Christmas special called ‘Eve of the Daleks’ has been released today. The action-packed episode starring Jodie Whittaker, where the 13th doctor and his friends will quickly enter the year 2022, will be broadcast on BBC One on January 1, 2022.

‘Eve of the Daleks’, which will be released at the beginning of the year, will be a sci-fi classic with its time-cycle focus. The Christmas themed episode will also be the first of the last three episodes for Jodie Whittaker to bid farewell to the series. Whittaker will leave the series in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the BBC, with the third episode to be aired in the fall after the second episode to air in the spring.
Aisling Bea, Adjani Salmon, and Pauline McLynn will guest star in ‘Eve of the Daleks’. In addition to Chris Chibnall, the current director of the series, Russell T. Davies, who started the ‘new era’ of Doctor Who in 2005, will also return to the series in the 2023 season, due to the series’ 60th anniversary. However, according to Davies’ statements, it is not yet clear who the new doctor will be.
