With the new Z model introduced in 2021, Nissan brought a different atmosphere to the automobile market, where we see more and more SUVs every day. The sports car, which faced its biggest rival Toyota Supra with its twin-turbocharged V6 that can produce 406 horsepower and 475 Nm of torque, now seems to make a name for itself with its more powerful Nismo version.
Nissan Z Nismo comes with more powerful engine
After Nissan introduced the Z model, the successor of the iconic 370Z model, the eyes were turned to the Nismo version. After two years, the Japanese manufacturer finally introduced the track-oriented version of the Nissan Z model.
Let’s start our review of the new sports car under the hood. The Nismo version comes with an upgraded version of the twin-turbo V6 engine used in the standard model. This unit, which can produce 426 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque, also brings a better cooling and ignition system.
The fact that Nismo, which is 20 horsepower more powerful than the current model and can produce an extra 45 Nm of torque, will be offered only with automatic transmission, may upset car lovers a little. Thanks to the new software, the 9-speed automatic transmission, which offers twice-fast gear changes, also offers the launch control feature.
When we take a look at the design, the first thing that draws attention is the new elongated nose design, which refers to the Fairlady 240ZG model. In addition, we see that the air intakes of the vehicle have been enlarged in order to better cool the engine that produces more power.
In addition, in order to emphasize that the car is a special Nismo, the red stripe that surrounds the vehicle from the bottom side is among the striking details. Another striking detail is the spoiler, which has been made more prominent for more downforce at the rear. Nissan will offer the new Z Nismo model in 5 different color options. These colors are listed as silver, red, black, pearl white and Nismo exclusive Grey.
The red details continue in the interior of the vehicle. It is also possible to see the red details on the seats and seams on the vehicle’s digital display and infotainment system screens. In addition, the seat and steering wheel of the vehicle are also specially designed for the Nismo version.
