Japanese auto giant Toyota introduced the new 2023 model Prius at an event it held yesterday. The self-charging car design, on the other hand, was like something out of the Cyberpunk 2077 game. The brand also introduced the concept SUV “Toyota bZ Compact SUV”, which looks like an angry Pokemon today.
In the past few days, the Japanese automotive giant has set a very strange record. The brand became the owner of the title of the hybrid car that traveled the most in 24 hours.
The test on May 13 was confirmed today
In the test carried out by Toyota on May 13, 2022 in Hubei, Japan, a 2021 Toyota Avalon traveled almost non-stop for a full 24 hours. For the test of the vehicle traveling at 144 km/h, the driver was changed 7 times and refueled several times. At the end of the test, the vehicle covered a total distance of 3,465 km and became the hybrid car that covered the most distance in 24 hours.
However, the strange thing is that this Avalon model, which Toyota used for testing, was only sold in China and the USA. In fact, this model was recalled in the US and Chinese markets last summer. In other words, it is not possible to buy this record-breaking vehicle right now.
The tests carried out on May 13 and the test vehicle were examined in detail by a team of several experts for months, and as of today, it has been proven that there is no doubt in the record attempt.
