Fans of Intel and the company will be pleased with the latest report. In the single-threaded performance-specific PassMark table, Intel’s 12th generation Alder Lake-S desktop processors managed to find themselves in the top 10. The champion is the Core i9-12900KF with 4,247 points, followed by the Core i9-12900 and i9-12900K.
Intel closes the top 10, followed by Apple M1 Pro in 11th place. In 12th place, Intel is again with its Core i7-12700 processor, followed by Apple again with the M1 Max. AMD is not in the top 25.
#Intel now has a clean sweep on the top 10 positions for single threaded performance. But did they really need so many i5, i7, i9, T, K, F & KF minor variants with near identical performance? Is good for us, as we get to make nice charts, but very confusing for the market. pic.twitter.com/sd9Ex4Ao4F

The list is based on processors’ single job core results. The 16-core Ryzen 9 5950X is the processor that enters the table in the 25th row with a single-core score. Entering the list with this processor with 3500 points, AMD also finds its place in the list with 12-core Ryzen 9 5900X and 8-core Ryzen 7 5800X.
